Web Series from Leb

Recently, Shankaboot, the first Arabic-speaking (with subtitles, p.s.) Web series from the Middle East, won Lebanon’s FIRST Emmy award. While initial reception was a bit cold (no officials greeted them at the airport with open arms; they must have been playing cards), Mr. Salim Wardy, the Minister of Culture, will be holding a private press conference with the crew next week. It seems that Shankaboot will be in the history “books” for being the first of its kind, in presumably a line…
